Leg Length Shims and Pedal Spacers
Leg length shims are used to increase the effective leg length on a shorter leg in cases where a cyclist suffers from a leg length discrepancy. Signs of a discrepancy can be:
-
Overreaching on one side at the bottom of the pedal stroke
-
Pelvis tilted or rider leaning to one side of the saddle in order to retain connection with the pedals through the bottom of the stroke
-
One leg feeling under-extended whilst the other feels just right

Assuming the rider's position is correct, and their legs have been assessed to have a discrepancy, the issues above could be solved with the use of leg length shims. Shimming, with the correct amount of rise, can create a more equal leg extension, stabilise the pelvis and lead to a smoother and more controlled pedal stroke on the shorter side.
MTB Walkable V2 Leg Length Shim - £21.00 Each

FORM’s patent pending MTB shims are the only “walkable” MTB shim on the market, and were developed specifically to overcome the issues inherent in traditional MTB shim designs, those being;
-
A difficulty when walking or clipping in
-
A wobbly and unstable connection to the pedals

FORM's product solves these issues by using:
-
2 parallel tread areas to protect the cleat and add clipped in stability
-
Chamfered front feet which facilitate easy cleat engagement
-
Two sets of posts/tabs which protrude into the shoe to resist rotation

These shims are ideal for gravel, cyclocross or cross country MTB riding where a relatively high amount of time is spent in seated pedalling, and are best suited to traditional MTB, gravel, or touring shoes utilising an MTB style (2-hole) cleat.

* The V2 shim is compatible with all MTB style cleats, including SPD, Time ATAC, Crank Bros.

Speedplay Leg Length Shim - £7.00 Each

This kit is compatible with Speedplay Zero, Walkable, Aero and Nano cleat systems.
It includes a number of innovative and useful features:

-
A chamfered front to facilitate easy clipping in, particularly when shims are stacked
-
A “pinning” system to connect multiple shims or FORM wedges together
-
Cleat position markers to help with cleat alignment on the shim

Pedal Spacers - £2.50 Each

These 2mm pedal spacers are designed to widen a rider's stance width by 2mm per side, 4mm overall.
Suitable for riders who feel the Q-factor of their bike is restrictive, and who are already on the outside of their cleat adjustment range.

Compatible with all pedals with a 9/16th axle.

Not recommended to use more than one per side to allow sufficient thread inside the crank.
Cleat Wedges
These are angled wedges are used to cant the foot in to either a Varus or Valgus orient to correct foot pronation, increase proprioception and provide better stability and control whilst cycling. They are also used to indirectly alter knee angle to reduce lateral or medial knee pain associated with bad leg tracking.

Cleat wedges angle the rider's shoe/foot by means of changing the angle between cleat and shoe. Each wedge offers 1 degree of tilt and multiple wedges can be used to achieve the desired angle. They are available in three different types to suit the the four cleat standards outlined above.
MTB Cleat Wedge - £4.50 Each

FORM’s MTB cleat wedge was developed specifically to overcome the inherent issues found with traditional MTB cleat wedge designs. It is the only anti-rotate MTB specific cleat wedge on the market.
-
A ¾ width design eliminates the thinnest and weakest part of the wedge, preventing crushing.
-
The reduced width allows one side of the cleat to contact the shoe directly, aiding stability.
-
Two downward facing teeth insert into the cleat retainer slots, preventing wedge rotation on the shoe sole.
-
Please note that these wedges are not stackable and if more angle is required they should be used in conjunction with a FORM in-shoe forefoot wedge.

Shimano SPD SL and Look KEO Road Cleat Wedge - £3.50 Each

Universal 3-hole cleat wedges are compatible with Shimano SPDSL, Look KEO style 3-hole cleats and Time/Mavic pedals.
Speedplay Road Cleat Wedge - £3.50 Each

Speedplay cleat wedges will work with all Speedplay road systems including Nano, Zero, Comp & Aero
In-Shoe Products
Angled wedges and insoles for use inside the shoe, either under the heel or the forefoot. Suitable for all cycling shoes.
Forefoot Wedge: Universal Road & MTB - £4.50 Each

The in-shoe forefoot wedge is designed to be used inside the shoe, between the insole and shoe itself. It provides 1.5 degrees of varus tilt directly to the forefoot, improving proprioception and creating a more controlled environment inside the shoe.
Unlike other designs on the market, the FORM in-shoe wedge is toe-less. The reasons for this are:
-
A toe-less design does not occupy space in the toe box, eliminating the “cramped” feeling which other designs suffer from.
-
With the rider’s toes unelevated, the wedge has extra presence under the ball of the foot, leading to superior proprioception.
-
With no requirement to position the wedge up against the tip of the shoe, it can be positioned far more accurately directly below the ball of the foot.
Heel Wedge: Universal Road & MTB - £2.50 Each

Heel wedges are used inside the shoe to cant the rear of the foot and directly correct and support rear foot valgus/pronation.

In a similar manner to cleat wedges or forefoot (in-shoe) wedges, the heel wedge lifts the collapsed side of the foot, increasing stability and control. However, unlike the cleat wedge (which cants the entire shoe), or the forefoot wedge (which cants the forefoot directly and the rearfoot indirectly), the heel wedge adjusts only the heel.

Featuring a 1-degree tilt the heel wedges can be stacked together to achieve a steeper angle, or stacked at opposing angles to achieve a heel lift if required. They come in one size and are trimmed to fit.
Volume Reducer Insole Blank: Universal Road & MTB - £4.50 Each

The FORM volume reducer insole blanks are a versatile & cost effective product used for:
-
Reducing the volume of space inside a shoe when it's too big for the rider
-
Adding under the forefoot as an internal leg length shim
-
Adding under the heel as a heel lift
-
Adding to the mid section as a way of reducing toe lift
Extender Plates
Plates which increase the adjustment range of cleats Medially, Laterally and Rearwards
Cleat Extender Plate: XPU Universal 3-Hole - £20.00 Each*

The FORM XPU Universal extender plate offers riders extra adjustability outside the range of standard 3-hole road cleats. This includes rearward adjustment, medial adjustment or lateral adjustment.

The XPU is designed to provide some very useful foot positioning options;
-
The front position gives an additional 10mm of medial or lateral adjustment, combined with an additional 8mm of rearward adjustment, compared with a standard cleat.
-
The rear position gives an additional 20mm of rearward adjustment, combined with an extra 3mm of medial or lateral adjustment, in addition to the stock position.
If you ride SPDSL, Look or any 3-hole pedals and want to experiment with a wider range of foot positions, this plate is for you. Adding just 3mm to your stack height, the plate can solve a wide range of issues associated with stock cleat positioning.
